Peter_ScourasPeter was born on November 15, 1983 in Winnipeg, MB.Many years separated him from his older brother and sister, which led him to being referred to as the family’s “pleasant surprise”. He was one of a kind and loved by all.

A beautiful man inside and out, Peter had a trademark laugh, genuine smile and welcoming arms always ready with a bear hug. He was loving, affectionate, intelligent, funny and fun to be around. He touched the lives of everyone he met and made everyone feel important. Peter worked hard, played hard, and was always looking forward to a new adventure.

As a boy, Peter watched his father work at the Red Top Restaurant igniting his dream to one day take over and keep the business in the family. At the tender age of 23, Peter stepped into that management role after the sudden passing of his father while vacationing in Greece. With his mother Vicky by his side supporting him every step of the way, his dream was coming to fruition. Despite all the challenges, Peter never complained, but instead he seamlessly and effortlessly continued the legacy his father John had started… making sure that every “Red Top” customer felt valued and special.
He was actively involved in the community through associations such as the University of Manitoba Wombats Rugby club, The St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church, donating to various Social events and generally at large with his family and friends. His affectionate and generous nature was adored by all. He had a big beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, a great sense of humour and was always willing to help a friend in need. Whether he was on the pitch, at the Red Top Restaurant, or at your doorstep with a gift in hand, Peter made sure his family and friends knew they were loved. Peter had a passion for life, love, laughter, friendship, community, and hard work. He will be dearly missed, none more so than by his family.

The Scouras family would like to thank the community at large for their overwhelming love and support over the years. Your patronage, loyalty and continued fellowship has helped the family during these difficult times, and allows for a place to feel welcomed and call home. It has been a privilege serving you and we hope to continue John and Peter’s legacy with the same passion.
